In 2001, our lives continued in the fast-paced, high-energy spirit that has reigned the last 4 years. Our choice to pursue entrepreneurial careers makes finances tight, but our spirits high. We count our blessings and accept the challenges ahead.
The boys continue to rule our world; Aidan is now a trim 4 and Keevan a wide 3. As avid readers of "Raising the Spirited Child," we hope to find the formula for handling two energetic and strong-willed boys. They seem to love each other as much as they fight, so we think we're doing okay. Things are so much easier since we found our wonderful nanny, Jennie, who brings our lives much love, commitment and organization.
Alison continues in the ranks of Silicon Valley independent consultants. The work with technology start-ups has been challenging. The time flexibility and power to hand pick clients has been wonderful, allowed for time with the boys, and provided for a long summer vacation back East. She continues her pursuit of the perfect tennis backhand - this may be the biggest challenge of 2002.
Steve invests his time and passion in the start-up he founded this summer. He is back in the wireless world developing an idea that could change the face of wireless services. They are on the hunt for "Angel" Investors so hold on to your wallet. What would life be without the excitement and risk of a Silicon Valley start-up in our lives? For you squash enthusiasts, Steve is still always looking for a game.
We were fortunate; we did not lose any close friends on September 11th. Alison's brother was only a block away and his sweetheart worked at the World Trade Center - so we are thankful. We are blessed with great family and friends, and we miss those we see so little. We hope you enjoy our pictures and poem as a way of saying we want to keep you in our lives.
Yours, Alison, Steve, Aidan and Keevan
